Historic house in Amsterdam gets a new look

The house, built in 1800, is in the South off Amsterdam, an upscale neighbourhood of luxurious villas. But like all old houses it didn't meet contemporary standards, so walls were removed and an architect was called in to transform the historic house into a sleek, elegant interior full of striking design and stylish furniture.
