French country house becomes a charming rural retreat
Outside, the raw stone walls are the only reminder of the old barn that has now given way to a sophisticated, completely renovated home. Originally it was a run down rural house with only one habitable floor and a hayloft. But the building was full of charm, the land planted with fruit trees and crossed by a river. The owners did not hesitate to buy it and hired architect Didier Barray to transform it into their new home.
