Mandi and Murdoch were prepared to allow all the time it took to restore and enlarge the cottage they found in a perfect French village. Mandi deals in French period artifacts and her husband Murdoch is director of an international packaging group and travels throughout Europe. Mandi and Murdoch divide their time between this house in France and an apartment in Kent. They purchased this eighteenth century one bedroom cottage with a half acre garden in a village north of the popular Loire region. In a series of carefully planned phases, the cottage was extended first into the loft and then by integrating a log store at the side to give a three bedroom house that can accommodate the whole family.
