When Dirk Buytaerd moved into his apartment in the centre of Antwerp 13 years ago he only had a narrow seventies garden with huge cypresses, a rockery and a rather sad-looking lawn. Dirk, who trained as a landscape gardener, saw it as a great challenge to design a garden with only himself in mind, which mean it had to be low-maintenance with room for relaxation.
